During 1971 and 1972 I wondered around Ohio’s Appalachia photographing the people and families living there, recording the stories of the moment.
My documentary work and my uncle George's watercolors and cartoons are represented on this website. Many members of my family make or made a living in some part of the creative world. My mother and her brothers, and my sister Vernita were or are all talented artists in different art disciplines.
After serving in country as a pilot during WW2, my uncle George made a living creating and selling cartoons to different magazine like The New Yorker. At 75 years old he begin creating water colors.
